Golden Gate Concrete & Masonry has served Golden Gate and Collier County since 2017, handling concrete block walls, tuckpointing, brick repair, and foundation work on the CBS homes and block fences throughout the community - with a response time of one business day or less.

Most homes in Golden Gate were built with concrete block (CBS) construction, and new block walls for fencing, privacy, and property boundaries follow the same tradition. If you need a new block wall or repairs to an existing one, our concrete block wall service handles everything from footing to cap block, built to Collier County wind and load codes.
Golden Gate's sandy, low-lying soil settles and shifts with every rainy season, and the high water table keeps foundations under constant pressure. We assess and repair settling or cracked foundations on the CBS homes throughout the community before small cracks become structural problems.
The block fences and CBS exteriors throughout Golden Gate take a beating from summer sun, daily thunderstorms, and salt air moving in from the Gulf. When mortar joints start crumbling, water follows - we repoint joints with mortar matched to the existing masonry before moisture works its way deeper.
Flat, low-lying lots and slow drainage in Golden Gate put real stress on concrete driveways over time. Paver surfaces drain better than solid concrete slabs, handle the seasonal soil movement that comes with dry-then-wet Collier County weather, and hold up well under Florida's UV load.
The flat terrain and canal drainage network in Golden Gate can leave low spots in yards that pool water after storms. A properly built retaining wall controls grade changes, channels water away from structures, and keeps sandy soil from eroding during the wet season.
Many Golden Gate homes date to the 1960s and 1970s, and the brick and block surfaces from that era show decades of Florida weather. We restore chimneys, entry pillars, decorative walls, and exterior masonry features to clean, solid condition without full demolition and rebuild.
Golden Gate sits on sandy, low-lying land that was drained and developed in the 1960s by the Gulf American Land Corporation. The soil here compresses and shifts with every wet season, the water table runs close to the surface, and the canal network that runs through the community manages - but does not eliminate - the drainage challenges that come with this terrain. For any masonry structure sitting on that ground, those conditions are a constant stress on footings, mortar joints, and concrete slabs.
Southwest Florida's climate adds another layer of demand. Summer brings daily afternoon thunderstorms from June through September, occasionally pushing tropical storm force winds through Collier County. Salt air from the Gulf - only about 8 miles west - accelerates corrosion on metal fasteners and breaks down mortar binders faster than in drier inland climates. The concrete block construction that dominates Golden Gate's housing stock handles wind well but is vulnerable to moisture intrusion through failing joints, and the older homes from the 1960s through 1980s are overdue for attention on chimneys, block fences, driveways, and exterior walls.
Our crew works throughout Golden Gate regularly, and we pull permits through Collier County's building department for the structural masonry work - foundation repairs, new block walls, and retaining wall installations - that require them. We know how the county's process works and what the inspectors look for, so jobs move through without delays caused by incomplete applications or missed requirements.
Whether a job is just off Golden Gate Parkway, on one of the side streets near Santa Barbara Boulevard, or further east toward the edge of Collier County, we know the area and can be on-site within a business day of your call. A large share of the work we do here involves the CBS homes and decorative block fences that are everywhere in this community - surfaces that require mortar and repair techniques matched to concrete block rather than clay brick. Older homes near the canal network often have drainage issues that affect how masonry work is designed and executed.
Homeowners in neighboring Naples face similar CBS construction and wet-season conditions - we serve that community as well. If you are near the East Naples area, we cover that corridor too.
We respond to inquiries within one business day. Tell us what you are seeing - cracked block, crumbling mortar, a sinking driveway - and we will set up an on-site assessment. No commitment required to get eyes on the problem.
We walk the property, assess the damage or scope, and give you a written estimate before any work begins. This is also when we confirm whether a Collier County permit is needed - structural work typically requires one, and we handle the application for you.
Most residential masonry jobs in Golden Gate are done in one to three days. You can stay in your home during the work. We clean up as we go and protect surrounding surfaces from dust and debris.
After the work is done, we walk the site with you, explain what was done, and flag anything to monitor going forward. For permitted work, the county inspector signs off, and you keep that documentation with your home records.
We respond within one business day and serve all of Golden Gate and Collier County. No commitment to get a free estimate.
(239) 688-0022Golden Gate is a census-designated place in Collier County, Florida, located about 8 miles northeast of downtown Naples. Governed by the county rather than its own city administration, the community was originally developed in the 1960s by the Gulf American Land Corporation as one of the largest planned residential communities in the United States at the time. That history means a significant portion of the housing stock dates to the 1960s through 1980s - single-story, single-family concrete block homes on flat lots, many of which are now approaching 50 to 60 years old. The community has around 25,000 residents across a compact footprint, with a mix of owner-occupied and rental homes and a younger median age than many Collier County communities.
Golden Gate Parkway runs east-west through the heart of the community, connecting residents to downtown Naples to the west and Interstate 75 to the east. Santa Barbara Boulevard provides the main north-south route. The community sits on flat, low-lying land crossed by a network of canals built during the original development to manage drainage on what was once marshy terrain. To the east, Golden Gate transitions quickly toward Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve - giving the area a distinct edge-of-the-wilderness character. Residents who moved here because of the working-family character and proximity to Naples now also have neighbors who are part of the broader Naples metro's growth, and newer developments to the north connect the community to North Naples.
